Our professional volunteers stretch out a hand of compassion to people with nowhere else to turn. Each year, volunteers donate thousands of hours to provide our one-of-a-kind service to patients who need our help.

Our captains are highly experienced with military, corporate, airline and/or civil aviation backgrounds.  Our average captain  has over 10,000 hours of flying experience. All MERCY MED:FLIGHT captains are required to complete a Cessna Citation type rating course at CAE SimuFlite International with annual recertification training. 

Our medical crews are made up of nurses, paramedics (EMT-P), and respiratory therapists who are currently working in either EMS or a critical care environment.
